  22.           Might I suggest that you purchase a C64 rebuildable power 
  23. supply.  They may cost a little more, but are well worth it.  The main 
  24. failure in power supplies is the voltage converter that creates the 5 
  25. volt output for the C64.  When this fail,  Radio Shack carries this 
  26. common conponent for about $7.  We have three C64's here that are in 
  27. constant use.  One is on a rebuildable power supply that has already been 
  28. rebuilt twice.  It's like the Energizer Bunny!!!  I recently found 
  29. another rebuildable supply at a flea market for $1.21 and plan to rebuild 
  30. it and get it on line.
  31.           If you can't fix it yourself, anyone in electronics could do it 
  32. quickly and cheaoly.   Creative Micro Designs lists rebuildable C64 power 
  33. supplies for $39, plus $6.00 shipping in the most recent issue of 
  34. Commodore World.  Their address is:

  42. Rebuildable units may also be cheaper thru other C= support mail order 
  43. outlets, but I can't think of any off hand.  I hope this helps you out.
